Welcome

If you are here, you have probably heard our story. About a month ago, my seemingly perfectly healthy mom was diagnosed with cancer that has metastasized into her lungs. The doctors said that the cancer is incurable, and Mom has been told she has less than six months to live. My mom counts herself blessed to know that during these last months on earth, she does not have to endure chemotheropy or other treatments. She is actually feeling pretty good at this time and has been able to spend the last month enjoying family time. We have been blessed in so many ways by many of you and would like to share our story and our gratitude through this blog. Mom's prognosis here on earth is poor, but we are assured that Mom's prognosis in heaven will be a grand one. In Christ, she has assurance of her salvation, and she knows the journey will have a happy ending. Thanks for joining us on Cyndi's journey.

  1. So very sorry to hear of your prognosis, Cyndi. You were hands down my favorite "mom" in high school and I have such fond memories of you and Kelly in your sweet home. I certainly will never forget you comforting me in the recovery room after my knee surgery. Thank you for blessing me during those high school years and beyond. I know you are surrounded by a multitude of people who love and admire you so much. What a testimony and legacy you are leaving with your children through your hope and assurance in Christ our Lord. May He comfort, protect, and guide each of you during this difficult time. Please know that you are daily lifted up in prayer in our home - wee hours of the night and all. Love to the Pace Family.

  2. It's so wonderful that she is feeling good. There are only few people that can be so thankful in such a hard time! It makes you really look up to those people. We are praying for her, and everyone around her!

  3. "...the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." The Spirit is very, very busy, Cyndi because there are many, many prayers being voiced on behalf of you and your precious family.

  5. You are in our prayers constantly! We never even say grace without including a prayer for you and your family. You are such a blessing and you are loved!
I thought of you when I heard this song and thought I would sent the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExnTlIM5QgE to the YouTube video and also the words. I hope they are an encouragement:
    In Christ Alone
    ------Newsboys

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
    This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt of life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
    Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
'til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

  6. When I think of you Cyndi, I think "A grandmother in love with her grandkids!" I keep you and your precious family in my prayers daily. I admire your humbleness toward God, it reminds me of Robbie's late mother. Thanks for sharing your journey with us on this blog. I love you very much and God bless you!!
